April 9 FINAL meeting of Augusta Traffic Plan

The Augusta Street businesses and residents will meet with the City of Greenville on Tuesday, August 9th at Westminster Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall at 5:30 pm, to view and hear the final plans for traffic safety on Augusta Street.

This will be the third meeting the community has had with city officials and engineers. The idea is that this third round be the final round of edits. There are still many areas of concern, coming into this final round, according to residents of the Augusta Street neighborhoods. The residents hope that the inevitable cut-through traffic will be reduced more, that Capers Street will not be encroached upon for business access, or that businesses do not lose customer traffic due to planned median placement.

If you live, travel, or do business in the Augusta Street area we advise you to attend this, supposed, final meeting. If you can not be there in person, then who from your street can go? All neighborhoods, streets, and businesses need to attend.
