What is ARBA?

The Augusta Road Business Association (ARBA) is a non-profit organization that works to promote the economic vitality of Greenville’s Augusta Road Business Community through informed involvement in matters affecting the quality of life in the area. The primary objectives of ARBA are to represent the business interest of the area and to promote the Augusta Road business community. With a network of diverse people and resources, ARBA is a united advocate for positive change and development.

Why be an ARBA Member?

The Augusta Road business area is an important commercial section for this neighborhood and for the City of Greenville. This area serves local residents, as well as, residents from around the county and beyond. This area is going to grow and to change. You can have an impact on how that growth progresses and effect changes that will be positive for your business, your customers, and your neighbors.
Over the past few years, ARBA has directly or indirectly impacted how the look of Augusta Road has progressed. City planning efforts have focused on the area. Many telephone poles have been removed, new traffic signals and mast arms have been installed. The needs of pedestrians and your customers are being protected and promoted. Capers and Augusta intersection has been realigned for safety and beautification reasons.

The business environment has continued to improve, making it good for new businesses. Storefronts have been upgraded and plans are almost complete for a new major development in the block where Schlotzsky’s and Greenville First Bank is located.

ARBA has an advertising budget that you can be part of directing. You can participate in an on going direct mail program. You can include your business name in ARBA media ads. You can highlight your business through promotional events such as “Shaggin’ on Augusta” and “Holiday Open House” and “Awe in August.”

ARBA is currently working with The Greenville News on a frequent buying program for Augusta Road shoppers. This program has all the signs of being an exciting long-term promotional effort to boost the shopping traffic on Augusta Road and influence the buying habits of your customers.
